Let’s Get You On the Water
Every new member receives hands-on, personalized training with one of our
United States Coast Guard licensed captains before your first trip out. We
want you to feel completely at ease on the water from day one.
Before your on-water session, you’ll complete a free NASBLA-endorsed
boater safety course through the BoatUS Foundation. Simply select your
state, complete the course, and share your certificate with your captain
prior to your on-water training. Personalized on-water lessons with one of
our licensed captains are available anytime.
Your training will cover:
• Docking like a pro
• Navigating busy waterways
• Anchoring techniques
• Offshore and open water safety
• Emergency procedures, breakdowns, and towing
• Seamanship — running inlets, trim tabs, and general safety
• Weather, tides, and open water preparation
• Boat check-out process and VHF radio operations
• Engine operation and boat handling skills
• Man overboard procedures and basic coastal navigation
• Near shore speed limits and distance regulations

Captained Experiences
Sit Back. We’ve Got the Helm. Whether you’re hosting a group celebration or simply want to enjoy the ride, our Captained Experiences are designed for exactly that. One of our certified captains takes care of everything on the water — so all you have to do is show up and enjoy.
Captained Experiences are a minimum of 3 hours, priced at $100/hour plus fuel used during the trip

For Members Who Love to Fish. Freedom Anglers is our fishing club for members who love nothing more than a line in the water and good company on the boat. Connect with fellow fishing enthusiasts, share your best catches, and join group outings designed around the sport you love

Elite Membership
Freedom Elite is our premier membership upgrade, offering access to 27’–29’ premium boats with advanced electronics and elevated features. Designed for offshore fishing, extended cruising, and larger group outings, these vessels deliver enhanced power, comfort, and performance.

Q: How do I know there will be boats available?
Our reservation system ensures that all members have equal access to the boats.
Q: How many reservations do I get?
As a member, you can hold up to 4 guaranteed reservations at any given time, bookable up to six months in advance. Two of those may fall on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday), and an all-day reservation counts as 2 reservations.
Once each trip is completed, you're free to book another — and there are no trip limits at your home club locations.
Q: How do I make or change reservations?
The easiest way to manage your reservations is through the Freedom Boat Club app — reserve boats at your home location or any of our 400+ locations worldwide, view your booking history, and manage payments. All from your phone.

For changes more than 24 hours in advance, you can also log in directly through the Freedom Boat Club Reservation System.

Q: Can I go boating at other Freedom Boat Club locations?
Yes! If your membership includes reciprocal access, you can book up to 4 trips at each of our 400+ Freedom Boat Club locations across North America, Europe, and Australia. Simply select your desired date and marina through the reservation system and plan ahead to secure your ideal outing.
Q: Are there any usage charges?
No hourly fees, no usage charges – just the cost of fuel used during your outing. Your boat will be fully fueled before you leave the dock and taken care of when you return. Some optional amenities at select locations may have additional charges, but the majority of our members enjoy boating with zero surprise expenses.
Q: Who can members bring on the boat with them?
Members must operate the boat at all times and are welcome to invite other family members, friends, and even their pets.
Q: What safety equipment is on the boat?
Every boat is fully equipped with required safety gear – life jackets, a fire extinguisher, sound equipment, and flares. Dock staff and members complete a safety check together before every departure so you can head out with confidence.
An emergency safety protocol card is also on board for quick reference. You can review it anytime by downloading our Emergency Procedures Guide – and all protocols are covered in your boater safety course as well.
Q: Where can members learn about upcoming member events?
Member events are shared in our monthly newsletter, delivered on the first of each month to the email address associated with your reservation system account.
Keep an eye out for events from our exclusive member programs — including SeaSisters, our women's boating community, and Freedom Anglers, our fishing club — both unique to Liberty Boat Group members.
