Not Quite Ready To Buy? No Problem
We believe in making boating accessible on your terms - whether that means exploring the water now through a flexible club membership or owning your dream boat when the time is right.
Through our Freedom to OwnProgram, your time with Freedom Boat Club becomes more than just access to the water - it becomes a path to ownership.
If you decide to purchase a boat through Liberty Boat Group, we'll apply $2,500 of your FBC joining fee toward the purchase of one of our boats listed for sale.
Freedom Boat Club is the world’s largest and most established boat club, offering a hassle-free alternative to boat ownership. With a membership, you gain access to a fleet of boats at over 400 locations globally—no maintenance, storage, or trailering required. Just show up and boat!
How does the membership work?
As a member, you pay a one-time entry fee and monthly dues. This grants you unlimited access to your home club fleet and reciprocal access to other clubs across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. Book your boat via an easy-to-use online reservation system.
What types of boats can I use?
Freedom Boat Club offers a wide variety of premium vessels to fit every adventure—pontoons for family days, center consoles for fishing, deck boats, and more. You get access to the right boat for the right day, all professionally maintained.
Do I need boating experience to join?
Not at all! We offer unlimited, hands-on training with certified captains. Whether you’re new to boating or want to refine your skills, we ensure you’re confident and safe at the helm from day one.
Is boating really that simple with Freedom Boat Club?
Yes. We handle everything from maintenance and cleaning to fueling and launching. Our dockside concierge teams are trained to deliver VIP-level service—so all you do is hop on and enjoy your time on the water.
Can I use boats at other locations?
Absolutely. With your membership, you can reserve boats at any of our 400+ clubs worldwide. Whether you’re planning a coastal vacation or a weekend getaway, your Freedom membership goes wherever you go.
What is the cost of joining?
Pricing varies by location, as each club is independently owned and operated. Typically, there’s a one-time entry fee and monthly dues, which gets you access to a fleet of boats and all 400+ locations. We recommend contacting your nearest club for exact pricing.
How far in advance can I reserve a boat?
Members can make reservations up to six months in advance through our intuitive online system. Most clubs also offer same-day access, especially during non-peak times, allowing for spontaneous adventures too.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If inclement weather prevents safe boating, we encourage you to reschedule your reservation. Safety is our top priority, and our dock teams are there to help you navigate the best time to go out on the water.
What makes Freedom Boat Club different from renting or owning?
Freedom Boat Club offers more—more convenience, more variety, more locations, more memories, and more community. It’s boating reimagined: no ownership stress, no rental headaches. Just pure, unforgettable on-water experiences.
